WHAT IS SPARTAN PARA AND WHY DO WE DO THIS?

Spartan Race believes in grit, diversity, opportunity and equality rewarding fitness, physical efforts and obstacle course racing. 


The Spartan PARA is comprised for adaptive athletes that have the drive and dedication to compete in Spartan Racing. 


Spartan PARA athletes prove that there is NO EXCUSE and each of us can achieve goals, overcoming the obstacles of life and those which are part of the Spartan courses.

The Spartan Para Race Zandvoort will be the Spartan Super Heat on Sunday at 9:15. Every athlete registered will have the opportunity to join the Night Sprint on Saturday night as a team.

SATURDAY MAY 28 2022

6:30 P.M.: Race Briefing for the Spartan Para Race - Sunday's Super (10k -25 obstacles)

7:30 - 8:30 P.M.: Get to know each other, more info if you need and some drinks on us. Cheers!

8:30 P.M.: Getting dressed up with extra lights and ready for the Night Sprint. We sure don’t want to call this mandatory but would really love to see you ALL out there to make it memorable together.

9:30 P.M.: Move up to the start line as a group, a team and rock that Night Sprint. Have a good beer at the finish line with some life entertainment.

9:15 A.M.: Spartan Para Super Competitive Heat

2:00 P.M.: Spartan Para Awards Ceremony

The Spartan Night Sprint is an extra startwave for all para athletes registered to the Super Competitive heat and their buddies. The aim is to have fun together and at the same time to show the whole world what you guys are capable off. 

It's not a competition, it's a pleasant moment of sharing.

Meet John de Haan:  John is an OCR Para-athlete since 2016. 

"It all started with having fun but after that competition, my feeling was getting stronger and stronger. 

Normally I race against able people but after the 2019 Spartan para team world championship everything changed. 

I knew it was time to build an individual para championship".
